This week my outfits will be centered around ways clothes can give back and help others. Choosing the types of clothes you wear helps to create you but can also help others in a really meaningful way. My first outfit consists of Ivory Ella shirts, jeans, and a pair of converse. Ivory Ella is a company that makes shirts to help save elephants from poaching. This company donates 10% of their profits annually to elephant conservation, health, childhood education, social services and veteran-related charitable organizations. So far they have donated over $1.6 million to Save The Elephants and other charitable causes. These shirts come in a variety of different colors and styles, so there is something for everyone. The pastel colored shirts that I purchased go great with a pair of jeans and converse for a relaxed day around town.
With every outfit, it is important to accessorize. In addition to the Ivory Ella shirts, there is jewelry that also aims to help others. A silver bracelet is the perfect and simple accessory with this outfit. The bracelet is from Cuffed By Nano which donates 1 week’s tuition and 1 meal to a child in need in Haiti.
While this outfit choice may seem simple, there is a much deeper message behind it. This week of blogging is all about how what we choose to wear can have an influence on the world around us and help those in need. Stay tuned this week for more clothes for a cause!
